This is looking like a challenge (or at least a nice extended tour)

Interesting - thanks.
None shown within easy reach from here by bike, but there are surely more? Will do a bit of map-poring.

Past Chesters Roman fort and Vindolanda "tat" shop today . I make it 9 forts I can do on a 62 mile ride . But Geordieshire is the land of Forts and Castles . Lot of walking to some of the holes in the ground . Aydon Castle or Prudhoe Castle are a lot better to visit than Shildon hill or Onumm Roman fort .I will stick with the British cycle Quest . The Cathedral rides do look very canny Though .

It is obviously a personal selection, but some very noteable ommissions.
Just a short bit of Dere street has Rochester, Ridleeshope, Chew Green all on bridleways or roads

This is a project and Carol is very clear that there are indeed many more than the 366 currently listed. I think that there may well be an update coming allowing individuals to add more to the site.
