Now watching Inside No.9 (2nd ep). Three LOLs already. Genius.

Superb, I was laughing my head off from the point the big dog wandered in near the beginning until ...

(click to show/hide)

They'll have to go a long way to improve on that episode...just superb

Yes. I larfed a lot! It had the air of Futtocks End about it; but darker.

Thanks to this thread I've just watched the first two episodes.

First one was a masterclass of acting and dialogue.

The second was a masterclass of acting but no dialogue.

Best BBC comedy for years.

Oooh.  A split opinion.
He's read his own reviews and believed them.
From his website it looks as if he does read his reviews (youtube and message boards, at least)

Thanks Nuncio. That is a brilliant review portfolio. :)

(It almost trumps the one in Wasp Factory, except they are 'proper' reviews, not InterWeb keyboard cowboys.)

I've now watched the new Stewart Lee, and it is very funny. (but I also like Lee Mack when he's on form, dunno what this proves. Something about spice of life and variety I guess ... )

Line Of Duty tonight... Breathtaking.

Inside No.9 was pretty awesome too.

Live from Space, Ch 4 9:00 p.m. Dermot O'Leary at the Johnson Space centre with guest Astronaut, talking about Astronaut stuff. Last night was about life on th ISS and had some good footage and sections.

Tonight is apparently called 'Houston' we have a problem' and is, as the title suggests, about how Astronauts deal with problems.

Dermot may not be some folks cup of beverage but, I get the impression he is a frustrated astronaut so, he is like an enthusiastic kid in a sweet shop- just like I would be if doing this programme

Yup. Loved every minute of it... that Dermot wasn't on screen. Waste of perfectly good airtime IMO.

They've re-jigged the mighty Cosmos, as originally presented by Carl Sagan, RIP.

Trouble is it's on National Geographic, which I don't have.  But if you do, let me know what you think!

Having slagged off Stewart Lee, the UKIPs episode was superb.....kind of predictable and that sort of reduction absurdam has been done before but rarely with such incisiveness. The sketch on the beach was brilliant.

Did you watch? Notice the bit after Windemere when she said something like "I came back didn't I?"

Bit melodramatic.

I can't stand the woman, awful screechy tawdry programmes, but I've massive respect for what she achieved, she dug deep and succeeded.

I did watch and was very impressed by her achievement.

The people knocking it for her seeking attention have missed the whole point, it needed lots of attention to help raise money.

The people knocking it for how much it must have cost have also missed the point. If this country has a disposable £££ and it raised ££££££££ for a poorer nation or people who aren't as fortunate as us, job done.

WELL BLOODY DONE DAVINA

Fargo, the tv series, C4 tonight. I may be watching through my fingers, the film is one of my favourites.

The reviews seem to be good, the Coens were actually involved and it's got Billy Bob Thornton.  The omens are good.

OTOH, 10 episodes is quite a commitment...

If you have Sky Sports, there's FINA world series diving on just now. Sky being arseholes, they're only showing the male & female 10 metre platform finals, but they've blocked live streaming of the rest of the weekend's competition.
