My new bivvy multi-tool has arrived, I'm thrilled, every self respecting bivvist should have one, BUY YOURS NOW although I note the price has risen from £6.40 to £7.99.  Its quite heavy and probably completely pointless but I should point out I chopped a twig up with the axe

You're getting into the outdoors in a big way Septic. I think you could upstage Bear Grylls or even Psyclist in the survival stakes.

What are you like at drinking your own urine, eating animal faeces as emergency "food" and of course fighting off a Grizzly?

Silly boy, I shall set out tomorrow with a Pot Noodle tucked into the Long Flap Camper.

A shorter social distancing route for Saturday if anyone is heading east of the central hub https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32715922

I will be leaving at 9(ish).

Er, are you missing the Reservoir then, ted?

Looks sensible Ted, in a good way.

I'm looking forward to hearing Septic's stories (or most likely excuses) about his 100 mile ride to Abberton Reservoir.

I'm not sure if I'm able to make it unfortunately. We'll see.

I take it you are referring to my good self?  Who knows what might transpire?  I will set off in good heart, full of good intentions and see how we get on.

I think it might be SPD sandal weather, although commonsense dictates socks might be prudent for the earlier hours

You sound a bit noncommittal Septic. Come on, buck up, be positive and show mental strength and you can do it. I believe in you.

What time are you setting off, about 3am?

To add to the excitement, if that was possible, I have AN ANNOUNCEMENT to make!  Following Elliot recklessly posting pictures of a camping stove on Facebook thereby initiating the inevitable stove debate and 'fandango making some frankly outrageous remarks about Trangias I accepted a challenge to cook a pizza from scratch on said Trangia.

YouTube has given me some valuable tips so I plan to cook a Trangia pizza LIVE on Zoom tomorrow evening.  I shall set up Pizza Cam and see how we get on

Let's go for a triple this evening. SpaceX, OD's pizza and an email challenge competition. What is that, you may ask. I shall explain later, using a real-life email issue scenario, with the person who can solve the puzzle eligible for a prize in due course.

Half ar$ed ACME rider here.   I must dial in on a Wednesday at some point.

All being well I will be living nearby by the end of June.   Just finalising the paperwork on our rental place.

Your Trangia obviously, the SpaceX rocket is a suitable distance away from mid-Essex!

I thought it was flying over us?  The rocket, not my Trangia.

The ISS will be visible at 10:09pm tomorrow night, by which time SpaceX will have docked, if the launch goes ahead tonight. It takes 19 hours for them to reach it.

Good to see you all this evening, and kudos to OD for producing something resembling a pizza on the Trangia! Meant to mention on the call - we hosted a quiz on Zoom last week, so I can regurgitate a couple of the rounds on a Wednesday evening at some point if it would be of any use

I think quizzes are the way forward, well done to Joss for a sterling effort yesterday evening, getting his laptop to play music over Zoom was a triumph!  Perhaps Joss can fix email!

Next week we should have a diagnostics workshop to resolve Toby's Dad's bike issue.

Groups of 6 socially distanced outdoor gatherings permitted from 1st June. Feels like we may be able to return to some semblance of normality on a Wednesday evening in the near future.
