campag or shimano brake
« on: 23 July, 2015, 11:54:19 am »
Due to operator error and general wear, the rear campag (pre skeleton) brake has failed. I'm never that keen on single pivot so can I use eg a Shimano 6700 or 5700 (Ultegra/105) brake or is the pull ratio going to be different. I know the new 7800/6800 brakes won't work or am I going to have to stick with Campagnolo? Shifters are 10 speed Chorus

I used Campag (Veloce in my case) levers and Shimano 600 deep drops for years on my Argos bike, no problems with pull ratios, so I'd say you'd be fine.

Ditto (but with 10s centaur and chorus levers)
