Pumpkin was sick and feeling sorry for herself all last night. Today she's all perky and has gone out.
This afternoon Ninkasi puked all over the magic blue fleece and the bedroom carpet and now she's feeling sorry for herself.

This weekend I mostly be cleaning... #plaguehouse

Tried to feed Bad Cat her paste. Chicken-related subterfuge? Nope. The proper inject into her mouth via the syringe? It went everywhere but. I think I ingested more.

I think we have to admit defeat. Might try mixing it with tuna water, the problem is that's quite pungent (flavoured with sweet basil essence, of all things, I think the people who invent these supposedly 'palatable' veterinary products are having a laugh), so there's no way she can't know its there. And even if she did like it, then last time she tasted it was just before after the vet had made her wear a gimp mask and violated her inner sanctum.

When our Ginge (who was on tablet for the last eighteen months of his life) got stroppy about taking them, the method of last resort was to grind the tablet up and mix it with butter. Then get the butter onto the cat, almost anywhere. Eventually they will wash and it will get into their system.

Blackie is lying on the kitchen floor, awaiting Mousie's emergence from the cupboard under the hob, where she's been creating a racket.

Blackie has pounced Mousie's way a couple of times but Mousie has, so far, successfully escaped back to the cupboard.

Mousie is BIG...

The cats despatched the rodent overnight and it was there, dead, disembowelled and disgusting, on the hall carpet, to greet me when I came down for breakfast.

Facebook friend informs me this was a rat.

According to my wife, Bad Cat pooed a stick. An actual stick.

That might offer an explanation to her issues, I suppose.

Waiting for me to finish blow drying her favourite bed with the hairdryer.
She was sick in it earlier, so I had to wash it.
The only other time the hairdryer gets used is to defrost the cat hatch.

Bad Cat decided to get cuddly with an junk mail envelope (I think BT) and somehow managed to transfer the blue ink to her white fur. Now she's decidedly punk.

Back from the cattery, she's still pooping in the house. But, now LMC is following her example. God help us all. I blame the endless rain.

What Bad Cat doesn't know, is that she has a visit to the vets next week for a tooth extraction (finally got a bout of FORL). No gimp mask and violation this time. The worse thing will be not feeding her from 7pm Sunday night. She'll probably chew off her own legs.

Someone tried to steal Megan today.
Mrs B tied her up outside a local shop. She explained to me how securely that was. When she came out of the shop, she was gone. Just down the street she saw a bloke holding her by the lead with his car back door open. She ran up to ask WTF and the guy said the dog was 'just wandering up the street. (Impossible).
Unfortunately Megan would go with anyone who took her lead, without question.
Mrs B was too shocked to challenge the guy further.

She's not happy. Hiding under the sofa in my office, resisting all attempts to eat a pill I've cunningly enrobed in finest cheddar. It's a painkiller, you feline fool.

£400 to have a tooth out. I would have done it for far less.

Came out for the love of tuna. She's high as a kite on whatever kitty heroin I fed her (gabapentin says the label, wonder if works on humans). Crushing it into tuna water seems to do the trick.

Some creature has been exhuming them. I suspect Blackie.
Blackie has been digging up the pots containing defunct tomato plants.

Looking sorry for herself. Mrs Pcolbeck dropped a grape and in a microsecond Tilly had scoffed it of the floor. Grapes are toxic to dogs with no known smallest safe dose. Some can eat a bunch with no ill effects and some drop dead of renal failure two days after eating one.
So I rang the vets and we've been in and they gave her something that made her vomit it up. Vet says as we acted quickly she should be fine.
I bet if I dropped another grape now the furry dustbin would eat that one as well.

We didn't know about grapes when we got our Tilley. So we gave them to her, thinking that they would be nice and cooling for her, as we got her in the middle of a heat wave, just like frozen peas.

She went utterly bunkers when she got them and played with them for 10-15min, throwing them about, jumping to and from them, kicking them, running about - having a whale of a time.

Then she just left them be, when they got warm.

We stopped giving them to her as that was just wasting food and then we read about it ...

My Labrador ate grapes all the time - he was a hospital therapy dog and the patients all gave him grapes. I had no idea at the time they were toxic to dogs.

But he was a Labrador and could (and did) eat anything.

Tilly is 50% lab so will eat anything in a microsecond - except celery she doesn't believe that that is actually edible.

Over the last week or so we've been struggling to get Ninkasi to eat her (dried) food.
At first I thought she was just being a bit of a diva/pain in the arse. But then I noticed she was tilting her head to one side.
The other day I decided to start soaking her biccies in water, which made her eat slightly more but still required us to stand over her for half an hour.
Today for dinner she scoffed all her dinner and demolished an extra scoop.

Pumpkin came along and lapped up all the soggy biscuit soaking water
