garmin 305 in need of help
« on: 09 February, 2012, 11:26:08 pm »
I have a broken switch on my 305, is there anybody on here who can repair such things,
when it comes to small delicate things, it's probably best if I leave them alone
I know my limitations ;D

That happened to mine a few years back. I saw a video on youtube to fix it, but didnt fancy making a good enough job, and even though it was out of warranty, garmin got me to return it and sent me a reconditioned one for 50 or 60 quid if I remember right. Its been fine since.   They may not do recons' as I think its discontinued now

Thanks for that, I have found a few "how to's" myself, my 305 must be 3 years old now, so it's had a fare bit of (ab)use, I have been thinking of up grading any way, so I might carry on with the 305 until it completely dies, or I get a replacement which ever happens first.
