To boost the coffers of Steve's support fund, March sees the first auction of these exclusive
Gibbon Time tea towels showing his daily distances from that most English of English villages, Marsh Gibbon.
Only three tea towels will be available for sale, each signed and numbered. They are 100% cotton with high resolution print and are machine washable at 30
oC. Multi-purpose, they can be used for serving tea and scones to the village vicar, fashioned into a Rapha-style hipster neckerchief while on t'cog to the local artisan coffee shop and will make an ideal gift for your grandchildren to flog off on Antiques Roadshow 2083.
Prices will be determined by YACF auction (Yaebay).
Auction RulesBids for a tea towel can be placed by replying on this thread naming your price. You can bid as many times as you wish. The three highest bids posted before
midnight, 21st March 2015 will each receive a tea towel. The winning bidders should then donate their nominated sum directly to
Steve's support fund, after which I will send them their tea towel. If, for any reason, a bidder does not wish to declare in public the sum they wish to donate, they can PM me and I will post an anonymous bid to this thread on their behalf.
Getting the tea towels printed up and posted has cost me around £75 (I've printed five in total - one for Steve, three for auction and one for me), so I think a reasonable reserve price for a tea towel would be £20.
