Nice. See you at Spa. Is ACME kit de rigueur these days?
I make a point of not making it so, most others do though  :P

But carrying a small sample of said kit would be very much appreciated Huggy :-)
Ah yes, good you reminded me!

Is there a route for tonight as I'm wondering if TMNH is on it - or I will go direct?

My loaded route is the MEMWNS Classic Compasses one which obviously goes via TMNH.  No doubt we'll be at the Generals about 8:10, unless I get over-ruled and we go a different way.

The chaos on A12 tonight has rather scuppered plans. What's an expected arrival at compasses as may go directly to the pub

I'll see you at the compasses.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

So, not a trek out to the far outposts - somewhere in the heartland of Mid-Essex please! King Billy, Braintree; Cross Keys, White Notley; Witham pubs?

It’s a westerly wind, so anywhere west is probably good for the majority when riding home ...

Sadly not out again - out for the evening in London...

Given that I’m back working in London, I’m not too fussed if you opt for a more easterly venue this week, as that seems to be the consensus. I’ll aim to be out whenever you head further west though.

Good choice! Will take me all of 90 seconds to walk to the Chapel. According to the BBC Wednesday now looking a bit more promising

Coggeshall is pretty much the most central venue for all concerned.

The only problem is the lack of bike parking at The Chapel.

I'd offer the use of my garage - but I'm a good 5 minute walk from the Chapel (which would upset Jibers no end) and am away with work.

I'd be happy with 'spoons Witham this week - I think that might suit a couple of others carrying injury at the moment...

I’m in Witham spoons now, it’s rammed on account of it being close to payday and the beer selection isn’t great.
BFC says the Woolpack in Witham is under new more mature management so could be worth a visit. I’m up for revisiting the Chapel though. Website says there’s a secluded beer garden, maybe we just didn’t see it for bike parking before.

I think JEM has a knee injury, so was just thinking about that... There's that other pub I passed on the way to Marks Tey, in Feering I think...  The Bell?

Actually, the further east the better, I have a tidal issue tomorrow.  11.45 is probably the last dry road for a couple of hours but possibly earlier with the wind.
