Hi All,
Only just picked up on this thread, so sorry for my slow response.

I can understand some of the reactions and I’m sorry for any upset that promoting cycling events has caused. However, I am a passionate cyclists and do all that I can to promote cycling and the majority of what I do is on a voluntary basis. From starting a cycle club 7 years ago and organising numerous events, helping local charities fundraise, and supporting other cycling clubs and this year helping to arrange a new Audax ride. All those that know me, they will tell you that I am committed to getting bums on saddles and promoting cycling for all.

Forums do provide a very good opportunity to get the word out and I have tried to make the thread as informative as I can. The Prostate Cancer Charity has done a tremendous amount for cycling by the backing of the Tour of Britain and I believe that they do deserve support as well as the most important task of increasing awareness of the disease, which I knew very little about before I got involved.

It would be great to see cyclists unite in so many areas as we all have so much to offer to our sport, pastime and passion.
Happy cycling
Alistair
