Nick Hobbs says the manufacturer is dispatching the order on 15/12 and should be with him around 21/12. Fingers crossed you'll have your kit for Christmas!

How exciting indeed !

I could collect and do a bit of distribution if they did arrive on the Friday and then we could look smart for the Santa Special on the 17th.

Ah, I read it as arriving on the 15th - slow delivery !

We will just have to look our normal scruffy selves (Fancy Pants and Three Buffs excepted) on the Santa Special.

Bit cold for Audaxing in fishnets, though!

Is now the time to patent flesh-coloured leg-warmers with a black fishnet pattern on them, I wonder? :)

Nick Hobbs is taking delivery of the kit on the 18th (Monday next week) and is going to drop it off at our house in time for us to hand them out at next week's pub ride.

If Nick drops them off before Wednesday I'll let you all know and you have the option to pick them up and be resplendent in your new winter kit on the pub ride itself!

Thanks all for your patience in this two and a half month process. The wait is nearly over!!!  ;D

Has it really been 2.5 months?  Doesn’t feel that long. Let us know when you has the kit and I shall shimmy over to collect. The timing could be bang on for the end of my little holiday from cycling.

1st of October was when the conversation with Nick began about a winter kit order and only a couple days later I was taking orders and answering questions from you lot.

No problem, will do!

Some bad news this Wednesday morning. Kit isn't expected to arrive until Thursday or Friday and Mr Blackmore is away until Saturday so we won't see the kit until Christmas Eve at least. Below is Nick's email to me this morning, along with tracking number if you wish to keep abreast of its progress yourself:

Hi Dan

Correction. The kit is between the uk and Germany.

The ParcelForce tracking number is:

EH614576205GB

It has taken a very long time to get from one place to another bearing in mind it left on 13/12

However it doesn’t seem to be in the country yet unless it came in overnight and goes out for delivery today, but I suspect that is optimistic.

Best chance is tomorrow or friday.

I am away on Friday and Saturday so I will let you know, it could be a Christmas Eve delivery to you guys if you are around and that is how it works out. Apologies but it must be Christmas shipping...

Kind Regards

Nick Hobbs

I could probably collect on Christmas Eve and distribute around Witham / Chelmsford.

GOOD NEWS!!!!

Nick Hobbs is delivering the kit at 2pm today  ;D I'm heading to Maldon to pick up our Christmas beer on Friday morning so if those in the vicinity (Chelmsford, Witham etc) leave their address I can deliver on my way down. Alternatively you can come to the house at your next convenience to pick up your jersey and/or gilet. Please let me know which you'd prefer.

Cheers.

I am happy for mine to be delivered to OD.

He can then hop on his Pashley and deliver everything onwards

Soupy and I have had a modelling session and I can confirm that sizing is looking precisely as ordered - my M jersey and his S are a good snug, but not tight fit - ie a size up on the short-sleeved jerseys. The gilets are a little tighter, I'd say: an M is a very close fit over the winter jersey on me, but would be fine over an ss jersey with arm warmers, for instance.

Oops, I should have come to the fitting session.  The summer one was so large that I went for Medium.  I may have to wear it as a hat because it's not going to fit over my current shape   Next winter though...

If you would like to join the wearing of ACME branded garments or add to your existing wardrobe I currently have these in general availability stock:

Long Sleeve winter jersey @ £60 each - 1xS, 2xM, 1xL
Gilet @ £58 each - 2xM, 1xL

I would personally describe the fit as Italian with good length of sleeve, on the jersey, not the gilet, that would be silly to say the gilet has a good length of sleeve, the gilet has standard length sleeves arm holes  ;D
If garments need to be postage that can be arranged at cost.  PayPal works for transferring electronic payment.

For those seeking larger fits for their new winter kit, Nick says we can get up to XXXXL and would need a minimum order of 6. If you'd like to do this send me a PM and I'll put you on the list. This is obviously contingent on the kit you have already bought being returned in good condition.

So we can exchange our smaller sized kit which doesn't fit too well for larger sizes???
