A slippery slope I know, but I've finally got round to entering my first audax - 106.6km from Hailsham. Maybe see some of you there?

and there was me thinking a lack of scenery points meant an easy ride  :)
All my rides end up with me riding up to woodingdean (which I see you're doing 2 weeks after), so I'm being thankful for the flat finish!

Feb reports here; finish is indeed flat; the lumbpy section is just that bit either side of Hastings; I'm just filling in an entry to make the Feb 2010 one into 200.
1066 100k, Hailsham

I notice it has 1400m of Scenery; almost a GdS, I'm sure El S could have a few more hills built along the route he's pretty experienced

You'll be well looked after with great food all the way and the route sheet will be perfect.  I can think of no better way to begin Audaxing than to enter one of El Supremo's events.
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

Well, to make the perfect Audax I suppose I could have also suggested riding around it with Cyklisten....  ;D

Although I entered this ride, looks like I'll now be recovering from a shoulder op :(.

My own fault really should have got the duff shoulder sorted out soon after my encounter with a patch of sheet ice and visit to A&E last December. At least the cycle helmet did its job - it got smashed not my head.

I'm offering to help out at a control, so may see people on the day.

you were a lot luckier than the rider on the Mince Pies and Stollen who did a slide on ice; he broke his hip.

Well, I enjoyed that.

Lots of lovely rolling lanes, and a touch of autumn about it - ie i needed a long sleeve top and there were damp leaves to be careful on. Thanks to everyone who organised and that I rode with. See you again sometime.

I didn't win  :) but despite having seconds of the plum pudding I felt quite happy with my pace, although I was feeling tired by the end.
