My six year old daughter learned to ride her bike at the weekend

I took the stabilisers off my daughters bike at the weekend, and showed her how to ride her bike without them. Within an hour she was pedalling all by herself.

I was nearly bursting with joy as she rode around with a huge grin on her face.

We went riding together down some of the quieter roads where we live (slowly of course).

Chuffed to bits  :D

CrinklyLion:
Hooray!

It's fabulous isn't it :-)  I found that it hugely increased the options of where to go for an afternoon, as my eldest's range on a bike was so much more than on foot.  And the loooong walk home from the park is so much less 'challenging' with a bike.  Although I then scuppered longer journeys by having no. 2 and being too much of a chicken-hearted wuss to try cycling with a baby seat on!

Wendy:
That's so awesome!!!!

toekneep:
No pictures? Big congratulations to her, it's a magic moment in any child's life.

I think it was as a big a mark in my life as hers!

I can't keep her off her bike now, she loves it  :D
