Title: Domain Hosting?
Post by: aidan.f on 08 February, 2019, 01:04:47 pm
I want to host a domain registered with fasthosts with krystal - I'm stuck.
I have changed the nameservers in fashosts control panel  from ns1.livedns.co.uk to ns1.kloudns.co.uk

If I have that right There must be 'stuff to do' in the krystal cPanel.

sorry to  sound vauge but it is all a bit foggy new to me.

Somewhere in the Krystal control panel I presume you can edit your DNS entries. Nameserver is another name for the DNS server you are using. You need to create an A record in your DNS records. This will point your domain at the IP address of the server where your website is hosted.  You should be able to find the IP address it needs to point at within your control panel somewhere.

In the Krystal Cpanel, click on the button for "Add on domains". Then fill in the details for your new domain. It will create the domain as a subfolder and subdomain to your main account.
