I originally posted this on the "cycling stuff you haven't bought today" thread, but...eventually it came into stock in the UK. I have succumbed. :-[

The Moulton has an occasional propensity to drop the chain with the 9sp Dura-Ace rear mech (spring must be softer than the 10sp 105 mech), so I bought a chain catcher.  £27 seemed rather expensive but it does bolt straight onto the braze-on, does the job and doesn't look as bad as an unused front mech.  Only 25g.  That's over a quid a gram.

This unit has seen the image again on an appropriately gamma-corrected monitor and determined that it isn't in fact blue.  I was worried for a moment.

Disc rotors. I opted for Ultegra over 105, purely because they look cooler. Not as cool as Dura-Ace, but the cost/coolness ratio of those is just too much.

Another thing with disc rotors is that some sound cooler than others:  The stock BB7 ones are pretty quiet, but the Disco Brakes somethingorother I've got on the front of the Streetmachine makes a pleasing *ththththththth* noise, which is just the thing for startling roadies who think it's a good idea to overtake the recumbent rider just before the top of the hill.   8)

Today's purchase was a seatpost. It's not particularly exciting.

A highly desirable feature in a seatpost.

New panniers (Altura Dryline 56L) as my current panniers are starting to split at the seams, probably because I kept trying to stuff too much football kit (balls, bibs, boots, etc) in them and they were only 40L.

Bought a cycling top and noticed that it is actually a ladies top.

Does it make that much difference as shape wise doesn't look like it.

Blimey, ordered 3pm on a Sunday and delivered (for free, via Collect+) at 1.30pm the next day. Off to collect them when my legs have recovered from today's run.

Two unused Sturmey-Archer 18T, 12-spline sprockets.  I can finally use the 12-spline driver and lockring I've had all these years.

Couple of Vittoria 35mm touring tyres at £8 each. Be interesting to see what impact the Graphene has on visitations and longevity.

An 11sp Ultegra compact chainset to replace the worn out 10sp Campag Centaur that had done 20,000+ miles on the Dirty Disco and many more on a couple of Enigmas.
Shifting seems to be marginally better and I now have an all Shimano drive-train.

Ordered, actually, not sure when they'll arrive.

One of these: https://www.niterider.com/product/6787-lumina-dual-1800/

and one of these: https://www.niterider.com/product/5091-omega-300/

My oldest bike (1988 Marinoni w/ Columbus SL tubing) will be used for commuting when the weather warms up, and I intend to see and be seen when I ride.

Two large flange Campag Nuovo Tipo hubs, which I was assured by the seller were perfectly smooth.  Rough as a buzzard's crutch and the rear one has been bodged with an axle, cone and locknuts from another make of hub (it's not even a 10mm x 26tpi axle, and of course the cone curvature will be wrong for the Campag cups).  So they're going back today.  Usual Bay of Thieves crapshoot.

Having seen the thread tpday about Ortleib pannier pockets I've just ordered one to attach to my new YELLOW Back Roller Classics - I shall be watching the YouTube video about attaching them

I may be tempted to buy a second one if I like the first one.

An adaptor for thru axles to use on my truing stand, and a pair of rocking-horse-shit rare M9 connector bolts (for fitting hydraulic  hose to ST8070 brifters) which are coming from Taiwan. That’s my Domane build stymied for a while.

Having watched the Tour of Catalunya, I decided I wanted some new jerseys.

So I ordered 2 replica EF Education First shirts, failed to find any Burgos BH ones, though.

Next is to find a out front mount for the garmin that isn't rediculously expensive and doesn't look pants.

A fancy cargo e-bike

lugging all the gear for climbing, morris dancing, and running plus work stuff was screwing my knees up so I had pretty much stopped cycling. I've been after a cargo bike for a while and the right deal, plus share bonus scheme came together and this arrived on Thursday morning.
