I'm not quite ready for a SR yet, but what's the Invicta one? Do you have a pic?

it's a colour version of their logo; rob is your man for how to get the special one which requires the 400 (if the award even still exists)

Bit like this? So do you just need to do a 100 and a 400?

There used to be a series of events with Bronze/Silver/Gold status to get the Invicta medals.  I’m not involved any more and there’s no Invicta 400 now so I’m not sure what you would need to do to get them or if they still exist.

Found one!

So is that an Audax medal?
oh yes I've got one of those, and two alpine ones, which are huge.

I'm pretty sure there's a Scottish SR badge. No, I do not have one. Given you appear to be located somewhere near London, I suspect there are easier ones for you to collect...

The Raid Pyrenean is a Randonnee organised by the Pau Velo club... it's not an Audax as such, the time limit of 100 hours to complete 712 km doesn't fit with Audax ones.

The structure is that of a permanent brevet, so card, stamps etc...

A couple of years ago I identified over a 100 different items available - although some were just the remaining stocks of older designs.

You mean collectors' items.   ;)

Here is the audax equivalent of a misprinted penny black -
I think only 2 of these were struck, Keith Benton may still have the other one:

The above was the manufacturer's sample before the production run for the year 2000.
The actual production was not finished in gold though:

Even these are quite rare as the monochrome medals were only issued for 2000,
for 2001-2003 the production reverted to the usual coloured type:

There is, I'm hoping to earn one this weekend.

I still have my original Windsor Chester Windsor medal somewhere which I did in 1984 (as above)
This one?

That's very rare I think - must date back to about 1980, it had certainly been replaced by 1983 when I first rode WCW.
It's in good nick too, that particular style of spoked medal was very prone to tarnish, even when stored carefully.

These are things of beauty! Do you know if the rides are still held?

At least some of them are - a poke at the Audax UK website events calendar with region set to Scotland should help...
(I'm enjoying this thread because I have a decent badge collection, but the only Audax one is a bog-standard 300.)

I would guess that the Exeter Wheelers SR is the rarest

They're lovely! Just a shame they don't do some of the awards as medals - I think they're far nicer than the cloth badges.

I think I was a magpie in a past life.

Looks like they are, yep! I live in Derbyshire, so can see myself doing a fair bit of travelling over the next year or two!

PS I found these pics with Google. There are a fair few medals I don't recognise here, aside from the usual distance/Grimpeur/Brevet/Randonneur ones. Can anyone help?

The lower picture is from an article on our club website and I used some of the 'bling' from my archive. The badges and patches were selected to show a variety of designs rather than events. Most should be recognisable from the AUK web shop, but here are a few clues to the others:
http://www.westerley.cc/audax-the-basics/

Row one from left: Old AUK distance badge
Row two from left: 1) Start of Summertime medal, Stevenage, no longer run as an Audax 2) ACP SR medal 3)  AUK SR medal  4) AUK Brevet 1000
Row Three from left: 1) Grimpeur du Sud x 5 patch 2) Grimpeur di Sud x1 medal 3) Old RRTY patch 4) Dorset Coast 200 medal
Row Four from left: 1) Wessex SR patch
Row Five from left: 1) Hard Boiled 200 souvenir 2) Old Brevet Populaire 100klm medal

We also give all entrants on our May day Chiltern Audax events a 'one off' collectable mudguard sticker each year. New routes and new stickers every year. 2019 events now on the calendar, already plotting 2020 event!

I think you'll find that the End to End ones are no more, I did it last year and enquired, only to be told they'd sold out.

@nerion, I got those in the last couple of years so there's a good chance they will be run again.

The RRtY badge is a good badge, and I prefer the old design as in these images. The Wessex SR badge is also a beauty, and one I covert, but a tough one to win.
What a lot of effort just for a cloth badge.
