SWMBO and I are going to Paris for the final stage. I am trying to get my head round the route of the 7 lap circuit.
Looking back at coverage and comparing that to a map, can I run this by you?
The circuit starts as they cross the Seine via Pont Royal and continue ahead through the tunnel.
On exiting the tunnel they turn left onto Rue de Rivoli.
Ahead on the Rue de Rivoli then, on arriving at Place de la Concorde, they turn left then right entering Avenue des Champs Elysees.
Ahead on Champs Elysees until reaching Place Charles d Gaulle where they do the about turn and ride back along Champs Elysees.
On reaching Place de la Concorde, they turn right, then left onto Voie Georges Pompidou, from which they turn left into the tunnel again and repeat.
Is this the right route plan?
When they do the post race lap of honour, do they take in the whole circuit route as described or is it just up and down the Champs Elysees?
