That's the one I'm after...

Have you considered emailing Claudia in the States to ask who their stockists are in the uk, they may even supply you direct, just a thought as craft type people tend to be very helpful.

Do you know how hard it is to find blue and yellow yarn?  *grumble grumble*

And thank you for being helpful when I'm whining :D

Have you tried unravelling a green yarn?

there's always blue'n'yellow stripes.  just don't make them start/end above each other, it looks better when they don't.

Sigh.... firstly I wake up with gout this morning after spending an hour last night getting my bike ready for an early morning ride meaning that was cancelled and now, after writing 2 000 words since lunchtime, I discover either I didn't save the document, or for some reason, a copy didn't get saved. Thus, I have to do it all again (and yes, I have checked to see if I can find an autosaved document or a .tmp file... not that I know what that means!)

2013..... meet the new year, same as the old one!

Dear Royal Mail. Can it really be cost effective to get the postie to deliver a card asking me to collect something from the PO as it requires a further £0.09 in postage?? 9 pence? OK, you are charging me £1.00 "handling fee" which ought to cover that, I suppose. If it wasn't for the remnants of sentimental feelings for the PO, I'd take you up on the offer of payment by credit card, thus entitling me to a re-delivery.

Argos you utter pissweasels. Why on Earth have you decided I now need an account to check stock in my local store? Pointless and irksome.

ETA: Scratch that, I'm the pissweasel, just tried again and it worked fine. I must have somehow hit the wrong button.

Not content with waking us up at 7:30am yesterday having a screaming row the neighbours decided to start at 4:30am this time.

And it was at least an hour before they quietened down enough for us to get back to sleep.

They've been on and off since then so a nice restful morning in bed it wasn't.  :demon:

And it's back to early alarms tomorrow for work :(

eBay AGAIN.

Your search function is uttlerly crap.  Not content with taking away wildcard search (why, FFS?) it doesn't even understand plurals, so searching for something like Ian Duncan Smith -"butt plug" still returns all the Ian Duncan Smith butt plugs.

I thought they were a technology company but they seem to just be a load of muppets.

Teeth. I wish I could afford to have you all replaced with something harder wearing and lower maintenance.
Thursday- no riding, emergency dental treatment (root canal, no less). First part of temporary filling goes when dealing with, er, lettuce, after a whole 8 hours.
Sunday- there goes the rest of it.

Damn it. I guess the silver lining is that I'm so poor you're all paying for it, not me.

Grumble 1:  My back is hurting, just inside of the shoulder blade. Old training injury but I don't know what's aggravated it.
Grumble 2: My close range vision is getting worse.  While wearing my contact lenses I can't focus on a meal or on the controls of a camera properly.  Reading glasses, here I come.
Grumble 3: I recharged 4 x AA's last night for my Hope Vision 1.  It died within a minute of being turned on.  Same happens with my spare Hope, so I think that the charger has a bad channel.
Grumble 4: When Grumble 3 happened I put my headtorch on.  Batteries in that were half dead and I was subjected to abuse & mockery from zombies on the way home.

And tomorrow is Monday.....

There's a traditional Ben Folds line for quoting in that situation, especially if it's helmet-mounted.

Unfortunately, zombies never seem to listen to Ben Folds Five.

Frontman of a once-popular (ie. from the days when I used to buy CDs) beat combo, famed in certain circles for singing in a manner uncannily like Kermit the Frog.  Last seen (confusingly) performing with a bunch of Fraggles.
