Your work has improved beyond measure Lee - obviously post processed but done very well.  The focus stacking shot and flowers moving in the wind are excellent.  All very enjoyable though.

Cheers Tewdric

The flowers moving in the wind goes against my natural urge to have everything pin-sharp, so it's a case of forcing myself to set a shutter speed below 1/15th and see what happens.

I'm time-constrained (by cycling, so I don't mind) so I don't have time to really play.

Every time I get a couple of hours to devote to playing with a new technique (Focus Stacking and exposure bracketing for example) I get some really rewarding results.
Once I get PBP done I'll spend more time experimenting.

As for post-production, yes, everything is tweaked.  I'm not sure I ever posted a photo without tweaking something.

Since I got the Canon DLSR I use a Canon Raw editor to squeeze a photo from whatever I took.  I don't see that as cheating though, I see it as making it look like it felt at the time.

No camera can capture what you (think you) saw and mostly it still isn't as good as being there.

RAW absolutely rules though.  It took me a while to realise the potential but I regret not using it by default when I first got the Canon.  I have some favourite images that I could have "squeezed" a whole lot more out of.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Jaded love the Badders shots, cracking one of Toddy first up!  I'm hoping to be riding there next year..

Hey, thanks!

You'll have to let me know, so I can capture you!

Wasn't out far with the camera yesterday, just in the garden:

It was a nice day, so I experimented with my new gear in the garden.

You can see why Aquilegia are called "Doves in a basket" from this one.

Plus a gratuitous cat pic!

Do you have some sort of BDSM scene going on with woodland creatures?

;D. I don't know why the swing is still there. Nobody ever seems to use it.

I may very well be incorrect, but I don't call that bokeh.  That, to me, is "just" seriously out of focus background, resulting in nicely soft shapes which don't distract from the image, and actually support the main image.  You can call it bokeh if you like, though  ;D ;D

I'm gonna have to go full frame, and get some large aperture lenses....

Looks precarious!

I used to have an Olympus 135 lens.  I think it was the f3.5.  Great for portraits and short tele work.
Getting there...

Been up on the roof.

I see you have a bike rack on the roof.

Thanks for sharing that.  Anybody want the rest of my Ham sandwich?

There'd be complaints if Beyonce appeared in a skimpy outfit like that at the Super Bowl interval.

Quite by accident, got the quintessential cycling-in-France pic last Saturday:
