It is quite steep, and has a pound shop at the bottom...

Monday evening walk.

I imagine this will all be harvested before my next walk, transforming the landscape again.

From Sunday:

They call this place a "ferme gourmande" but the stench would spoil anyone's appetite.

I have been in with it - using a computer webcam, a green screen and making short explanatory videos for the students.

That is a full width colorama green roll, I really could do with a simple pop-up as we will be using this as a key technique for other staff to use too.

I use Open Broadcaster which is free and well specced for what we do with it. Typically just a single take (after a rehearsal take) and no editing required.

I shot a roll of Fuji Neopan Acros in the Nikon FM2n. I'll dunk it and scan some photos as soon as I get my hands on some fresh Rodinal.  I remembered what I like about film; no chimping, you have to get it right and know you've got it right but the results still sometimes surprise you, especially in black-and-white where (unless you're a dog*) what you get is not what you see through the viewfinder.

Despite my hopeless eyes, using a camera is not actually a problem and is actually easier than seeing IRL because the viewfinder shows a virtual image with no real glare.

I miss mono CRT viewfinders (hey, it may not be film, but it was generally analogue).  The contrast was outstanding.  I could spot things through those that I'd miss in colour.

I despise ditigal compacts without an optical viewfinder (these have all but died out).  I can't see the screen to compose in sunlight.  If chimping looks naff, then scurrying into the shade of the nearest tree or outhouse to chimp is in quite another league.
