Chester to Swansea over three days

Hi All,

We're thinking of crossing Wales North to South on the early May bank holiday. Rough plan would be to ride from Chester to Swansea, taking in as many scenic roads as possible. We will be travelling light, but still taking tent etc. We would even consider going further West to Snowdonia, but as I don't have much experience of any of these routes/roads, I'd like to ask for your expert advice:

- Roads to avoid
- Best roads to cycle on
- Villages not to miss
- Recommended campsites (if any!)

well I live in the Brecon Beacons, which is south Mid Wales and I'm sure we could squeeze you into a corner of a field if you were looking for some where to crash out, obviously being a member of this illustrious forum there would be no charge 
there is some fantastic riding around these parts all of it quite lumpy and especially where I am quite remote too.
