A Weekend in the Tower (with some cycling content)
« on: 04 May, 2008, 05:55:42 pm »
This tower to be exact - Barns Tower in the Borders near Peebles, owned, restored and maintained by the Vivat Trust. We rented it for 3 nights from last Thursday for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. A weekend of firsts: staying in a tower; eating Montezuma's chocolate (almost the best I've tasted); a new run at Glentress; and a ride on a tandem! (hired from Christopher Rainbow near Jedburgh)

Plenty of opportunity to try out the new camera I got from Mel as well!

The Tower

The very nearby Tweed

Loads of lambs and sheep around

What is it about my bikes and water?

Nice views

First ever tandem ride

Relaxing at the Hub after Glentress

A Trek job (apparently had a higher top gear than the Thorns he had - about 4 of them in the chap's garage).

That would make a great HDR if you've got a RAW version.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Unfortunately not - but it's one thing I'll definitely be learning how to do with the new camera.
