Grand Tour winners

There was a suggestion on the commentary for the Pro Challenge that Grand Tour winners should be allowed to have a band of an appropriate colour on the sleve of their jersey for the time they are the reigning champion. Much like former national or world champions can have such a coloured band.

Thoughts?

The more business-savy GT winners tend to do this with their bikes or kit in any case.

Think of Contador's clever little logo which has lines in the GT jersey colours in the shape of his signature pistol victory salute (or a peice of steak, depending on your pov). Contador's "logo" are on his bike and his helmet. Then there's Larry's ubiquitous yellow bands...  :hand:

Or, along similar lines, Sammy Sanchez's gold helmet to signify that he's Olympic champion (because he can't use the heavily trademarked Olympic rings).
