Feeling Very inadequate..

Dawes Audax  531C.  ( 2002 ) Probably going to be sold later this year.

Skip bike (Not quite sure of vintage) that is slowly becoming a very nice to ride Carlton Corsa.

Vacancy for N +1 when I can convince Mrs T of the advantages.

(And they do both live in a heated motor house.....)

Only seven here, spread between Sheds and kitchen, but only half of them  are currently in full working order (the towpath bike has a slow p+nct+r+ and, if taken onto a towpath again, could probably do with a more suitable front tyre).

    • Cosimo the Stealth Baron
    • Depravo the Roadrat
    • Ken Rogers upright trike (no brakes)
    • Trice XXL recumbent trike (no steering)
    • Trek 4300 towpath bike (see above)
    • Revell Romany fixed (no saddle)
    • HP Velotechnik Speedmachine (in the kitchen)

4 here:

Claud Butler fixed (for commuting, general use, light touring)
Offroad tourer (heavy touring)
Giant OCR2 (day rides and fast rides)
Flat pack bike (my GF's - not used much at the moment).

There's certainly room for one more in the house - but I'd have to relegate one of the above to the back yard.

[Deep breath...]

23½ after counting them all up. Half for a trailer.  If a tandem counts as two bikes make it 24½.  Five are trikes and five are recumbents.  Not all of the first group are members of the second group, either.  Altogether 53 different tyres to keep inflated.  Thank goodness I've got a track pump.  Although there is about another half dozen wheels not attached to.  Five are small wheelers, two fold and one collapses (not literally) and two shrink for storage or transportation.  There are five sets of drop handlebars.

I'm sure I could extract other pointless statistics if you were interested.

And (as I am frequently asked) most of them do get ridden regularly.  Some more than others, admittedly.

Do I get a prize?

Where do you sleep?  If I had 25 bikes, I'd probably have to move into a tent in the garden, I don't think they'd fit in the house!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Some live in the house... and I have access to two garages.

Delta Leonardo hooks are great for hanging your bikes up with, too.

Surely it's your bed that is on top of your bike rack.  8)

We have 5 plus a tandem which between 2 adults and a child isn't too bad.

Space will keep this number down as the garage also has to accommodate the camping trailer and my home office.

That's very conservative, O's D.

However, I have to say that it was the third bike off the rack that I rode to work this morning.

8 bikes and a BSO in the house/shed/attic.  Another 2 are away with Jasmine (both hers).

The BSO is tip community recycling centre fodder really and should be retired accordingly.

Of the 8, two are tandems and I'm half to blame for each of those purchases.  Then there's my MTB/tourer/commuting bike.  My older MTB which Jasmine rode for a while and now lives in the attic.  Everything else is living room based with 1 fixie, 1 TT bike and 3 different flavours of geared road bike.

Should anticipate a Poisson distrubution here, and lo, there it is. I apper to be below the mean - or, indeed the mode. Anyway.

-Me: the Feremmi SLX. Horrible colour, but wonderful frame, and some nice chrome. Fixed up with miche components.Still wish it wasn't sporting a black chainring.
-Me: the Mercian Audax 531c. Apple green. 10-speed Chorus of mixed vintage.
-Matt my flatmate: British Eagle with Shi*mano compts, bought in a moment of resolution, and unridden. He's a wee bit nervous. Have largely given up trying to coax him out onto it, but he's remains reluctant to sell, so it sits there. He may ride it yet.
