What should I do with my £220 bonus? :D

I'll PM my address to you ;D

It's OK, Alan - I'm closer.  I'll pick up cash from Wow, and take a small handling fee ;)
Getting there...

Is there a standard treadmill test they use?

It's usually the Bruce Protocol or a variant thereof.

I had a pleasant surprise in the form of £188.92 in mt bank account, a rebate from Southern Electric. I also discovered a couple of cheques I'd forgotten about (still in date). What should I do with my £220 bonus? :D
I just spent all but £9 of it on your behalf, at Ground Effect.  :-[

The Witches Britches should suit you, Wow.   :D

I've just spent around the same at Wiggle, but that was because a git in a van drove over my front light and I needed a new one  O:-)

A new, larger sprocket for the Globe's hub gear also made its way into the order somehow, dunno how that happened. And a new chain....

Peli, will you let me know how you get on with the Witches Britches, I'm toying with the idea of getting some soon but I'm not sure about the sizing.

And Jasper, I'm glad your tests are clear thus far. I'm sure you'll still be among the fastest on many YACF rides  ;D

I've always thought that gyms, rowing machines, exercise bikes and treadmills were all a bit of a waste of time. It would be a very good idea if these devices were plugged into the grid and there could be prizes (eg a pizza) for punters who generated enough electricity.

If your session on the treadmill did indeed provide our rebate, then thanks, Gonzo! Which left-wing organisation would you like me to donate it to? ;)

From Wiggle I bought two new back lights, energy drink for Woolly, and Sealskinz gloves for Woolly.

From Ground Effect I bought merino tops for me and Woolly, a fleece winter jacket for me, Witches Britches for me, a beanie for me, and some shorts for Woolly.

Phew! At least the rent money is paying for that little lot (we're living rent-free on account of having no kitchen at the moment...).

Yes, I certainly will. I'm looking forward to getting them as I've read such good reviews...  :)

Ooh, I wonder if they will arrive before Friday...

Something random happened as I was out pootling today - had a nice chap on a bike offer me a ticket to the cycle cinema show tonight as he couldn't go. We pulled over to discover the ticket was non-transferable, but a nice thought and gesture nonetheless.

Mrs T is starting to extend her cycling routes, and has a new rider to join them next week! Pretty soon their little cabal will be bigger than this place! :)

Oh and we think we have found what has been afflicting her, it appears that as well as cheese and coffee she has developed an allergy to wheat!!!

(1)  Mr R has (sort of) agreed to n+1 - so I'm going to be lusting over singlespeeds/fixies this weekend at Cycle.

(2) A huge expenses cheque will be hitting my account tomorrow, so I shall be making a visit to Ground Effect.

I've got tickets for Scotland vs All Blacks at Murrayfield 8th November, and Scotland vs Wales for next year's 6 Nations.

Of course, the chance of there being any bits of any Scottish players left after they've been flattened by the All Blacks is slim...

If you want, I'll ask the All Blacks to be gentle with the Scots...  ;) ;D
