What a way to launder drugs money

Yes quite, but I suspect that most castles/stately homes have been built on less than fulsome moral ground in one way or another  ;)

If anyone cares to join me we can unearth the Orpheous pavement in a graveyard round the corner from here.

They look lovely. I love a good castle. Anyone got anymore pics? Is there a map anywhere with all of these in? I've only done the major ones and would love to one day tour as many as I can.

I think you want http://www.castleuk.net/homepage.htm

Some pics of Seckington castle: Detailed Search on Take the TimeTrail with Warwickshire Museum

It takes a fair effort to climb up & over the rampart, down the ditch & then up the actual side of the castle.  The sides are steep enough that you need to use your hands as well as feet to climb it.

Craigmillar Castle, Edinburgh.  Very close to my house, and there are plans for some mountain bike trails in the park around it.

Richmond Castle.  Not the closest to me, but you can have it anyway.

Not strictly local, but it's the last one we went to.

I was at this castle today - 20 miles from home so a long way away in terms of the castle-distance ranking.

Not the nearest one to me, but it's the nearest one that looks like a castle :

Raby Castle. I must get some decent photos of Walworth Castle sometime - that's my most local castle.

What a way to launder drugs money

It is being renovated - and not a penny of drug money this time round (AFIK).

Went out yesterday castle bagging. Mr Smith is knackered, and sat on a bench, but I scaled the dizzy heights of EUROPE'S TALLEST MEDIEVAL EARTHWORK and erm, dropped my phone out my pocket half way down, didn't realise till the bottom, and so had to go half way back up.

Here it is. My local castle. Drumroll please...

It is rather impressive actually and would be great fun to roll down, though you might get a bit bruised.

I don't think rolling down would be fun at all. It's really very steep. I had to scramble down on my hands and erm, arse, mostly. The paths are slippy skiddy chalk.
