It's a big hole in the ground with a brilliant actor in, but that's not important right now.

Really sad, a truly funny guy.

I could never convince myself he wasn't George Peppard working under a different name.

Nice beaver!

Not much USian comedy makes me laugh, but I loved Police Squad and the Naked Gun series. Oh, and not forgetting Airplane.

He starred in Forbidden Planet, which is a cross between Shakespeare's Tempest and Starship Troopers with a soundtrack by the Clangers.

One of my favourite films although it's hard to watch him as a serious leading man now, I keep expecting him to add a "...and don't call me Shirley" to the end of his lines.

Exotic Dancer - "Lieutenant, is this some kind of bust?"

Drebben - "It's very nice ma'am but please answer ther question"

Loved all the Police Squad stuff.

This is Frank Drebin, Police Squad. Throw down your guns, and come on out with your hands up. Or come on out, then throw down your guns, whichever way you wanna do it. Just remember the two key elements here: one, guns to be thrown down; two, come on out!

He'll be missed  :(
