Swim Coach? Swim Coach? Did I wake up this morning and fail to realise I had been transported to the other side of The Pond?

This is Maidenhead, where we speak The Queens England. Your T Shirt should read Swimming Instructor or Swimming Teacher, not bloody Swim Coach.

And while we are at it, when you get changed after a session of instruction or teaching (see what I did there, no mention of coaching) please hang your t shirt, costume and several pairs of shorts to dry carefully. I am getting a tad annoyed with constantly putting on a wet top before cycling home.

Failure to do so will result in TEH BEAR coming after you wearing a 'Run For Your Fecking Life Instructor' T Shirt.

Sending the gardener round at 09:30 on a Saturday is "not appropriate" according to Stupid Woman who has just left a message on my answering machine.  And now Stupid Woman will be grumpy all weekend because the managing agents she thought she was ringing won't call back.

I'm going to have to change the outgoing message to "if you want $AGENTS try calling their number instead of mine" >:(

Indeed.  I used to get idiots wanting Waltham Forest council in spite of the "I'm not Waltham Forest council" part of the outgoing message but I think that number has fallen into disuse.

Twisted my ankle climbing over the garden fence to shove misdelivered mail into the neighbour's post-box.  Checked it on the turbo since: yup, nasty twinge halfway round the cycle when I'm standing on the pedals.

$#!7 neighbours, not having a name or number on their box. $#!7 postie, shoving it into ours so that we could do her job for her. In fact, $#!7 in general. $#!7.

I know my Achilles from my elbow, one 'king hurts, the other doesn't.

Only exercise this week has been 30 min on the turbo. May try and get out later today on a route with bail out options.

That's, erm, well...  No, on second thoughts, it's about as scientifically sound as some of the stuff in the Investigatory Powers Bill.  Scientific literacy is a disadvantage in government, when you can simply legislate around the laws of nature.  So it makes perfect sense for petitions to make no sense.

Excuse me Mr Co-op, you website says you shut at 16:00, the sign by the door says you shut at 16:00.  So why when I arrive at 15:55 (GPS time) are your shutters all down, the lights off and can I see your staff exiting the rear door?  By the time I got to Tesco it was 16:00 precisely and I was legitimately turned away.  Take a guess where I'll go first for next weeks shop.

Well that protest lasted a long time.  Went to Tesco today go get that which I failed to obtain yesterday, the most exotic of ingredients - risotto rice.  4 types of long grain, 10 types of basmati, 2 types of brown and 135 types of unflavoured and flavoured lazy bastard boil in a bag rice.  I asked and was taken back to the same shelf where "It's just he.... oh!".  Tappity tappity on the computer - not found.  "Sorry sir it seems we don't stock that any more".  Back to Co-op then.

Morrissons is a 90 min round trip or most of a day by bike (not a chance in this weather).

Still hobbling, on the most beautiful cycling day there's been this year. :demon: :demon:

Next time the neighbour's post lands in our box it's going in the bin.

Oven friendly frying pans, are not thumb and finger friendly when one takes them out of a 180C oven, then forgets they've been in the oven...  Grasping ice block for ~30mins followed by smothering in aloe vera gel, from freshly plucked stem...

Thanks.  I did about 10mins under tap - then ice block, one of those with the thick plastic casing that actually didn't feel that cold.  Now have a 1x1.5cm 'low profile' blister on my thumb, not too bad.

That happened to me at one of the LBSes yesterday, and it was only 15.51. :-\ Went to other LBS, which was open until 18.00, instead.

While I was loading my bike up with all the crap I bought or had delivered to work today, it fell over and one of the brake levers snapped in half :(

David's smelly piano associate has been >4½ hours and has knocked a small bust off a shelf, smashing a bakelite (I think)  twin electrical socket, which will need to be replaced.
I still want to vote, molish a cake and hang out the washing1.

My senses are overloaded by his voice, indifferent piano playing, olfactory abuse.

1) Task deferred on account of smelly 'friend' being a Clumsy Oaf.
