Carry Freedom Trailers rattling when unladen.

I notice there's been a upgrade of the classic Y design to stop it being so noisey when unladen. They've basically just added a clamp to the recieving end of the frame.


Has anyone found a way to stop the older frames from rattling?

Nope, but I like the rattle,

Reassures me I've not lost it, which happened once with the old style hitch.

Load the trailer  and the rattle is much reduced 

It's okay I didn't bring a coat

This was what prompted me to get one of the 'red lollipop' hitches after nearly ten years of owning a small Y-frame. (For those that need to know, the detached trailer ran straight and true for about 5 m as indicated by the groove the hitch arm ploughed in the kerb side leaf litter.)

Yes. (The one, when looked at from one direction, is a 'j' shape.) It was the one that came with the trailer when I bought it about 11 yrs ago.

Ah that's the only hitch I've not had.

So there was a type after the 'j' type and before the red lollipop?
