Nice one, Ian; that is a good reminder to have. Do you keep it on a wall or tucked away somewhere?

I rode that event (twice) in the early 80's.  Sadly no longer have the certificates.

It followed the A5 from Hatherton (Cannock) to Shrewsbury long before the M54 was built so quite a busy road in places.  Then The B4386 to Montgomery - turn and retrace to the finish at the Hollies Cafe (Greasy Lils).

I only once rode a time 100 miles. 7h 50m when I was about 27.

At about double that age I did a small number of audaxes before I saw the error of my ways.

(Autocarrot tried to turn audaxes int Sudanese. Seems reasonable…)

So you "did" a small number of Sudanese? Hmmm...

Congratulations, @IanDG! That’s an incredible achievement, especially at such a young age. It's incredible that you still have the certificate after all these years.
