Century per Month Log 2011
« on: 04 January, 2011, 12:31:27 pm »
Please log your 100 mile rides here!

The rule is that you have to do 100 miles in 24 hours.  Note that this is the calendar time and not the elapsed time.

Multiples count double, so 200 miles in less than 24 hours is two.  On audax or similar you can either log each day seperately or log the whole lot as one hit.  So an entry of 36 hours for 372 miles would count as 3.

If you do 99 miles in 24 hours and another 1 mile in the next 15 minutes it is not 100 miles in 24 hours and does not count

If you do 50 miles commuting to work and back and then another 50 miles visiting your favourite seaside pub that evening, although this is a number of "trips" as it is 100 miles in 24 hours or less, it counts.

Think of it as "100 mile days" if you like.

Try and do at least one per month.

If you are doing RRTY it will be easy.  If like me you CBA with RRTY this is a low fat alternative

Log them like this, one line per ride

Date; Distance in miles; Time taken; What bike; Route; Other comments including weather
ie
1/Jan; 104; 6h35m; Specialized Roubaix; Tiverton-Minehead-Bridgwater-Greinton-A361-Taunton; Warm, saw a Crane on the Levels

The logged time taken is what it says on the bike computer, the time spent moving.  Note if you did was exactly 100 miles and your time taken is 23 hours and 59 minutes but the actual time was 25 hours then it is not 100 miles in 24 hours

I will be updating this page with a little score card once someone else has logged a ride

Within the parameters I think I have laid out clearly above(!) it's up to you to decide if you have done a qualifying ride or not.  The entrants decision is final  ;D

Don't use the thread for discussions, just log the stuff

I haven't got a prize at the moment so let's assume this is just for fun
