Damnation - those forums aren't transferring themselves ....  ;D

Do you want me to give you a Stern Look in my capacity as Editorial Assistant?  ;)
Dunno - do you want the website working properly this year or evernext?  ;D

Edit: Spoke too soon - the old webhost's database server has gone tits-up. Again

Come on, what's the likelihood of a quotation ending in "through low light and trees" actually being on the quotes website linked to in the OP? ;D

EDIT: Plugging in "trees" as a keyword does come up with some entertaining album titles though.

My last this evening...

Surprisingly, it's an album of brass band covers of songs from the shows.

Emo-core! It's the unlikely combination of a crap movie, Kanye West, and a quiliting enthusiast.  Oh, and a heavy hand on the filter menu 8)

Post unification East German hardcore techno/industrial band with Marxist overtones.

Either you're cheating or you were incredibly lucky to get that picture/title combination.

If I wanted to cheat I would have chosen the fourth picture that came up, of a bunch of suits in a business meeting.

I'm currently gutted because the quotations page appears to be down and I've just scored a superb band name on Wikipedia!

Ok, for this one, because I REALLY want to use this band name!) going to use a different quotes page and use the 'quote of the moment' on the homepage.

This brings to mind something that might be a cross between Dream Theater and Opeth, actually ... sort of ultra-heavy prog-rock with strong Rush influences, and all five members of the band are insanely talented. They'd never chart in a month of Sundays and have a small, but insanely loyal, fanbase.

The title sounds more like the sort of thing that Iain M. Banks would use for one of his novels.

Henry McIvor fancies himself as an authentic bluesman in the style of Dr. John.  However, all his songs start with "When I woke up this mornin'" and he has to get a session guy in to play harmonica.  He only knows five chords.

Five?  That's two more than most bands.

And four more than me :)
But then again, I am a bass guitarist1 ...

1 - I actually do a lot of chordal stuff on the bass, but generally with different fingerings to a 'normal' guitar to stop them sounding too muddy.

To me that feels more like one of those very guitar biased 80s rock style bands with Leather Jackets, white T-shirts and stone washed jeans.

Made up of ex-members of Pale Saints and The Sundays, this album combines wistful shoegazing with noisenik distorted guitar rhythms.  You will have no idea what any of the songs are about, but one is called "Tossing The Salad Of Kevin".

Arthur is a regular at all of Shadwell's indie open-mic nights.  His primary instrument is ukulele, but he doubles on melodeon.  He wears a purple beret at all times.

He considers his lack of recognition indicative of quite how far ahead of the curve he is.  Besides which, who needs commercial success when one has a perfectly good trust fund?

Old Town Station were originally an alt-country act but this, their difficult third album, has mariachi overtones which renders it suitable for the soundtrack of a Robert Rodriguez film and/or a place in the bargain bin at the Oxfam shop.

Warm Springs - They Lose Their Common Sense

Cover
Definitely the side project of a member of a death metal band, most likely the drummer or bassist. The album consists of two long-form (untitled) ambient pieces, in stark contrast to the material the artist is more generally known for and associated with.

Anyone buying the record would get a shock if they decided to check out the material of the original group (probably called 'deathmetalhammerslayerfistwarrior' or something) whereas the mere existence of this record is deeply divisive to the band's 'original' fans.

(this has actually happened - Mick Harris of Napalm Death is now doing dark-ambient/DJ stuff)

I've done several I didn't put up, but this was random, and it's so perfect.

Band name: Yingdong District
Album name: A Bad Example
Album cover: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jonsiegel/5354223569/

This is clearly a band from the new wave of Chinese bands trying to assert a kind of nonchalant western punk attitude, but there's something really not quite right about them. Somehow despite all the ingredients being there, it's almost entirely crap.
