Remote switched battery light for cupboards

I'm looking for a battery light for a dark storage cupboard to be turned on automatically when the door(s) are opened.  All I can find are button or touch operated or IR remote types.  Switches for door operation are readily available but lights with remote contacts not so.  Any suggestions?

I put one of these in my parents bathroom & one in my loft.  The light comes on when it detects motion, but cuts off after 20 or so seconds unless you switch it "on" using the supplied remote or the switch on the body of the light.

I was wondering whether a motion detection lamp was the way to go.  Thanks
