Author Topic: Calcification in quadriceps tendon causing knee pain after cycling for c.4 hours  (Read 1029 times)

For the last three months or so I've had knee pain whenever I've ridden for more than about 4 hours.  I've been seeing a physio, doing my exercises but nothing has worked.

An ultrasound scan today revealed an enthesophyte, basically a type of bone spur growing in my quadriceps tendon.  Physio is going to try to break it up using Shockwave.

I hope it works, as every long ride since April has ended up being a train journey home.

Anyone had similar?
