Hammocky goodness

Just back from scout camp, where, after Mrs. Hall went home, I kipped in my DD Hammocks, er, hammock.

I have a lightweight tarp rigged as a shelter over it, using a length of para cord as a ridge and guylines from each corner. But keeping it from wiggling along the ridge (it has loops sewn along the ridge line) was a pain.

Of course you might know this dodge already, but I was impressed by its simplicity.  I tied a short length of cord (half a boot lace) to the paracord ridge with a prussik knot, then attached the free ends to the end ridge loop. Slide the prussik knot away from the tarp to hold the tarp in the correct location. Repeat at the other end.
