Tent footprint repair advice
« on: 22 July, 2012, 10:15:46 am »
Whilst in Holland a small hole appeared in our Hilleberg footprint.  When I say small, it is in fact about 2cms across.   It is in the porch area and situated where Mlle PB usually uses the Trangia*.

What does the panel recommend for repairing this please?

*  She has confessed to causing the hole.   I think that we may have had a lucky escape to be honest.

Anyway, let's just focus on how to patch that hole please.   :)

There are patch kits for tents

Put some on both sides.

If you have problems with the patches lifting, there are kits with separate tubes of glue that may be better, or there's also Tenacious Tape or Tear Aid (comparatively expensive but should stick hard to just about anything).
