Had, rather than having, but here's what I just cooked (local food for local people):-

Onion soup (mostly like the French version but with Oaky-family variations), garlic and cheese croutes  (east anglian onions).

Pork chops (local: Shalford) Asparagus (local: ardleigh) Chantenay carrots (local: suffolk somewhere)

Dauphinois potatos (East anglian spuds, east anglian garlic, maldon sea salt, milk from the local milkman, so probably passed trough Hatfield Peverel at some point recently. cream of unknown origin)

Sparkling cyder (local: aspall's suffolk)

local beer (essex + suffolk - crouch vale and Adnams)
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Yesterday I created a "Triumph of Leftovers"

I'm eating Part 2 of it tonight.  :)
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Fajitas, followed by meringue roulade and home made vanilla ice cream.  :)

When someone leaves the better part of 2 pints of double cream at your house, the only thng to do is make ice cream. The out come of making honey ice cream (it'll be done tomorrow) is that you have egg whites available, so you have to make meringue. Clarion doesn't like cream, so I use low fat greek yoghurt and then mixed summer fruit then roll up like a swiss roll. 8)

Classic British summer barbecue - charred sausages and burgers - plus slightly less typical mushrooms stuffed with blue cheese, and slices of sweet potato marinated in peri-peri. Nom!

All washed down with a fine NZ riesling.

Roast beef dinner with a lot of Yorkshire puddings, horseradish sauce, roast potatoes, carrots and broccoli.  It was just about perfect.
