It's better than that.  They're petitioning for the cancellation of a series that was a one-off.

I wish Netflix *would* get it.  Maybe they could do a swap for Breaking Bad - everyone's seen that at least twice.

Not sure: I think a film about Boycott would be much more interesting than watching him bat.

They may have a point. I've started to watch it and found it deeply heretical.

It features God, but they didn't cast Morgan Freeman. What were the producers thinking????

God, as any fule kno, is Alanis Morrisette.  But there were practical difficulties in having Alan Rickman reprise the role of Metatron.

I always wondered how they were going to approach* making a move series of Philip Pullman's - 'His Dark Materials' novels as the books didn't pull any punches on the author's obvious contempt (not even thinly disguised hatred even) for organised religion (particularly of the Catholic variety).  Sadly they seemed to give up after the first film (and hence book) where it was not quite so apparent yet.  They claimed it was the credit crunch of 2008 that did for it but I've never since noticed Hollywood embracing austerity in its productions.  I still wonder a bit if they just chickened out.

*As in getting it past the Bible Belt peeps in the USA, where Hollywood exists and such.
