Diabetes UK is holding their 2nd annual sponsored bike ride through the scenic Peak District on Sunday 29th September 2013. There are 2 routes to chose from, 25 miles or 50 miles, both of which are circular routes starting and finishing at Tittesworth Water, Meerbrook, near Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 8SW. Registration for the 50 mile route will take place from 8:30am -9:30am and for the 25 mile route, 9:30am to 10:30am.

The event is all on road and will be marshalled all the way with back up vehicles en route also. The event is open to all ages and abilities. Any cyclist under the age of 16 will need to have a participating parent or guardian present at the event.

The cost to enter in the event is £15 in advance per adult cyclist and £10 per child under 16 years, which helps us cover the cost of the event. In addition we ask that participants try to aim to raise £75 in sponsorship as part of our overall aim to raise £10,000 to go towards research at this event. All participants will receive a Diabetes UK t-shirt and a goody bag as a memento of the day.
