Ultegra 6700 sti levers: v-brake vs cantilever
« on: 09 April, 2015, 11:02:54 am »
What's the best brake option (v-brake vs cantilever pros/cons) to match the cable pull ratio of Ultegra 6700 sti levers (drop bar)?

I'm considering these cantilevers...

I'd like to avoid v-brakes that have non servicable pivots (e.g. Shimano XT)

Thanks.

For STIs your choice for V brakes is limited to the mid length ones. Not that that is a bad thing as Shimano do some framing ones, specifically designed for use with STIs, tere is a thread, somewhere on here where I exotl the virtue of said brakes, having got them fitted to my Dave Yates.

Or if you prefer canti's then I've had good experience with Tektro CR720 - available in silver or black for £18 a wheel from Spa or elsewhere
