Battle of Naseby ride
« on: 12 June, 2020, 11:42:31 am »
Recently joined the Northamptonshire Battlefields society FB group and bought the Battles and Battlefields of Northamptonshire book.

They have been doing an on this day sequence so on Monday I rode to Newton as it was the anniversary of the last mustering of a personal affinity and pretty much the last action of the Midlands Revolt.

On Sunday 14 June it'll be the Battle of Naseby anniversary so I'll ride there but extend it a little to hit 164.5km.  ;D

Wilkyboy's Civil War 200km permanent is on my to-do list: Girton to Market Harborough, back via Naseby battlefield site. I've other plans for tomorrow, but sometime this summer I'll ride it, whether for points or not - looks like a good route. Doable as a 300km ride from home, in long summer daylight.
