Tammies of course (up thread) are Penguins with an Oz name. I think the Penguin version are better :P

You are SO going to hell for that, where you'll be prodded with a barbecue fork and called Maaaate by all Beelzebub's demons.

They're as different as Vegemite and Marmite.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com yet.  Very remiss of you all...  ::-)

For the record, my preferences are as follows:

Plain biscuit - Garibaldis
Chocolate biscuit - Chocolate Hobnobs
Wrapped chocolate biscuit - there can be only one Tunnocks Wafer!!!
Savoury biscuit - Tuc Crackers Savoury Sandwich

Liz is wrong about the Tunnocks.  But that's fine by me as there's more chocolaty, wafery goodness for me to eat.

Om nom nom  :D

My friend's husband's favourite tea is a Tuc biscuit sandwich. Yes, buttered bread containing Tuc biscuits.

And why has no one mentioned FIG ROLLS?

Oh yes , and fig rolls

Fig Rolls go hard when you leave them out therefore they are cakes, not biscuits.

Wrapped: Toffee Waffle (melted on a mug of coffee)

At last, someone got the answer right!

There is no finer biscuit than the Tregroes Toffee Waffle.  The plain version is sublime melted on the edge of a mug of coffee, but for panting biscuit heaven, the plain chocolate coated version has no peer.  Nothing even comes close.

I'm not sure if the Tregroes waffle counts as a biscuit.  It's a waffle.

If it does, I'll add it to my list too.  Best served warmed in the grill.  They can also be put in the back pocket of a cycling jersey without turning into a crumbly/gooey mess.

It would be easier to list those biscuits that I do not like.It would be a very short list.

Yup. I'm in your group!

Mine?

Nice biscuits and anything with coconut in it. Which as everyone knows is dandruff collected from the inmates of Devil's Island.
It is simpler than it looks.

Plain biscuit- Nairn's Oat biscuits,  stem ginger particularly.

Chocolate biscuit- I haven't found a plain one without  filtered cow pus milk in it, but I'm not a chocaholic anyway.

Plain ones- anything really.

The ginger ones are very nice, good with tea or cheese.  Mmmmm, cheese!

Does anyone else like Hit biscuits?

I like biscuits so much I simply do not buy them.  Can't afford a new wardrobe .........

Like any addiction, it can be conquered.

(though I do have the occasional slip when I see a Tunnock Plain Chocolate tea cake....)

Everyone knows that the best biscuit is the one on the biscuit selection box that is covered in foil. That's why they cover it in foil isn't it ? Or perhaps I have fallen prey to the evil designs of biscuit packager.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

And just where do Garibaldis fit into your scheme ?

Plain biscuit.
Actually, on the grounds that they have raisins or currants or something in them, I'm reclassifying them as health food.

I think you'll find those aren't raisins but guinea pig droppings. To up the fibre content.
