I did not buy a new bike, due to the final step of "confirm order" being borked on several attempts...this will hopefully be sorted out with a phonecall tomorrow
So.. "Instant n+1 again... " is in abeyance for the moment?  ::-)
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

Deano get yourself something cheap and cheerful my BIL got himself into real trouble some years ago breaking the 'rules'.

I'm not cycling any more here - that's kinda the point. I was only going to collect the box so I can prepare my bike for leaving.

On the way back, with an 8' x 4' x 1' box stapped to the back of my bike, no one paid me any attention :)

I haven't bought a Vigorelli, buggrit.
There are two ways you can get exercise out of a bicycle: you can
"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)

I have NOT bought a Dirty Disco, despite me feeling the need for N+1, having a well timed tax rebate and needing something to do with my spare time, after working, cycling and being TLD's taxi for her very busy social life.  Hang om, spare time, what's that?

Whilst at Costco on Thursday I have spied the next, roughly bicycle related, purchase.

A heavy duty work bench and seperate, castored, tool box.  Should help tidy up the garage somewhat so we can get in there to get at the non-bike related stuff.

How terribly restrained of you, T.

I still have not bought either a road bike or a tandem.

Not yet.

We're still holding out on the Green Tent front.
Half term's when the traffic becomes mysteriously less bad for a week.

Wrong thread, I'll get the hang of this reading bit at some point. ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

Not bought any new tyres for either of my bikes.  Decided that I'd be better off using what I currently have - Bonty Race X-Lite hard case on the road bike, and Bonty Race Lite Hard Case on the tourer.

Instead, I put the money towards a mini compressor & airbrush kit, so I can do better paint fettling of airfix kits!   :D

I haven't bought one of these:

I'm not sure it would fit on any of my bikes. :(

There's a solution to that...

Only a matter of time though, that's the most Phanta bike I ever did see. It's lovely.

It's just a pity the full build version isn't available in the UK (I even emailed to check!) :'(

Surely that's better as you can just swap the good bits off current bike (and get a new set of wheels centred around purple Hope hubs)..?

Nah, I want to go disc (and the full build version has Shimano R7000, which is what I'd want anyway).

Ooh that's nice. Presumably it's not steel though?
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Aluminium - which is actually what I want! Ideally I'd have a threaded BB as well, but I don't think the perfect bike exists. (I've also looked into a CAAD12, but the purple framesets are all but unobtainable in a 54, and the full build is Dura-Ace which is slight overkill for my needs and rather too spendy...).

That's alright, I don't need it in that case :)

As long as it takes the Shimano press-fit you won't have a problem with it.
