Title: Blimey, my raspberries are early this year.
Post by: Basil on 26 July, 2014, 02:28:01 pm
Not just an early few, but loads of them.  I don't think I've ever harvested razzas in July before.

It's been a strange year.

We've been picking away since late June here in Warwick. Good crop too. The redcurrants are also looking good. I just wish they weren't so sour!

The blackberries are out too, have been for a while now.

The Rowans in the garden are full of bright red berries and the hawthorns. I noticed today that the woods are full of chestnuts too.

All early this year.

Picked up a couple of windfalls from under a neighbour's apple tree.

People have been picking blackberries round here for at least 3 weeks. Bloody ridiculous.

Same here - I was picking wild raspberries last week, and the blackberries are nearly ready.
