Mem Map - printing
« on: 13 October, 2013, 04:14:33 pm »
I've asked this question here as Memory Map's "support" is all but non-existent.

When you see routes produced using Memory Map in magazine articles they usually have the route highlighted with a pair of parallel line and a semi-transparent infill between them.

Does anyone know how you can create that to print maps - either from "track" or "route"  - there are various line weight, colour and dash/dot options but not the highlight style.

All guidance welcome  (using Mem Map 5.x with the 1:50 000 OS map on a PC with Win 7)

Thanks

Rob

!! I just realised I asked this a while ago - but didn't find a solution then - hopefully now . . .

I have found the answer - from Memory Map ....  you can't!   The maps that magazines etc use are manually created using some sort of Adobe drawing product to create the highlight line.

BUT .. you can do it with Tracklogs.

I was trying  the  same thing, Thought about Cut n' paste into Gimp, select all the pixels in the route colour and add a shadow  effect.
Then decided cba.
