It was a rare burst of speed, Peli  :)

Heart rate went out the window even before I got to the park. Average HR was over 140; max HR 169.

I doubt I'd keep my HR within my desired zones even if I walked around the park.  :( Not sure what the answer is there.

Derby to Banbury to Princes Risborough to Aylesbury to Quainton Road to Aylesbury to London to Derby.

By train. :-[ :-[ :-[
Only bit by bike was from home to the station and back.

I can thoroughly recommend the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road.  Minature railway with full signalling etc, also lots of exhibits and railway antiquities and ephemera.

What zone do you want it to be in?  I tend to run an average in the 150s on Audax rides.

Well, ideally I'd like to try to spend time between 60% and 70% of predicted max, that is 106 to 123 in my case.

I'm at about 100 by the time I turn the corner at the end of the street...  ::-)

I'd like to 1) burn a little fat and 2) develop a bit of sorely lacking endurance.

Probably best to stick to LSD, which I am currently not getting enough of.

A wonderful easy-peasy 60 miler on Sunday with Paul along some stretches of road I hadn't done (in a while). It was covered and warm, but we didn't have any rain. Made it on time home to get the BBQ going before the rain. A perfect day out for the pannier-equipped Pompino.

Yesterday I played all day with Gabrielle but managed to escape during her nap for a hard hour workout on the university campus next to home. With the commute I may have been out 1h15ish. Great effort followed by a 1h30 walk pushing the trike and singing with Baby G later on in the day.

Today I am on the child-mobile, our Raven, and should pick Gabrielle up at school later on, before riding and singing home. Great stuff!

A couple of short commutes but enough to send me over 2000 miles for the year.

Not today but yesterday, a few miles to the coast and back.  There should be a ride report at some stage with a few pics.

Brill ride report.  Brought back memories of when I lived in Debenham and used to cycle around East Suffolk.  Lovely Stuff.  Not my words but those of Shakin' Stevens.  </Partridge>

A proper ride last night!  Only 25 miles, but after months of basic commuting, it made a change.  A couple of us did the "Snap Hill Loop", which has a mixture of short steep hills and long grinding ones.  I got 54.7mph down Snap, and we averaged 16mph (I've done 18mph round there at peak fitness; it is rather hilly).
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Went out last night, to make sure I have the cyclists suntan :)

Also this morning I decided to increase my commute, so it is now 7.5 miles, as opposed to 2.7!!!

Its lovely out there, I didnt want to stop.

22 miles this evening. I drove to Derby to take my car in for a service and then rode back through Little Eaton, Ripley, Alfreton and Clay Cross. Quite hilly and a headwind, but good to be out on a warm sunny evening 8)

112km this evening up to Mum's in Sheringham to cut her grass as her gardener has gone AWOL.

Lots of suicidal wildlife in the lanes on the way home. More deer and rabbits than I could count, three barn owls, a bat which brushed past my ear, and a huge toad that I helped across the road before it became a flat toad.

Lovely moon after the sun went - lots of earthshine.
