It was a very pleasant 20C yesterday in darkest Suffolk, and the sun put in a cameo appearance. I even went for a bike ride. Today, while not cold, we're back to rain and dull skies. Bah!

Just changed an appointment for covid vac. from tomorrow to Saturday as thundlesofrumber and heavy rain forecast. Getting there and back could involve up to 4½ - 5 miles walking, much of it on quite exposed, windy roads.
Prolly be fine tomorrow and pissing down on Saturday now.

Back to the status quo ante; 11C and pissing down. Was that summer, I wonder?

80% chance of rain for the entire bit of tomorrow when I'll be in a position to go to Mr Sainsbury’s House of Toothy Comestibles.

Wet here too, should be better tomorrow.  Today's for mounting mudguards and re-proofing the Carradice.

Wet.  Soggy trousers.  Hates it.  Though the antique Gore-Tex jacket still seems to do its thing in spite of being unused for about fifteen years.

Nearby Knaresborough was flooded yesterday afternoon by 50mm of rain inside one hour.  In York we could hear the thunder of distant lightning and much later some light rain fell.

A supercell formed over Haguenau, ~20 km south of us, a couple of days ago. Gulp.

Yesterday I rode to a friend's house in brilliant sunshine. While there, it poured down. Then I rode back in brilliant sunshine. Then it rained so hard a neighbour's car alarm was set off. But today it's almost too warm for a jumper (other than indoors of course, never gets warm in here).

Was sunny and warming on Friday so I finally turned the heating off. Was sat under a fleecy blanket last night but today capitulated and told the heating to come on for a couple of hours.
This weather isn't helping me stop being torpid and doing stuff...

According to my faceache memories, 2 years ago I'd finished several weeks of fence painting. This year it hasn't even got started thanks to the poxy weather.

Very mild this evening. Almost like May.
