Dismantling a B&M lumotec oval light
«

Afternoon all, a quandary. I have a Busch muller D'lumotec Oval Senso light and it rattles as something is loose inside it. I can't work out how to dismember it though.
Found this URL

which implies just remove a seal and turning... but whilst the object in my hand has had the seal removed I can't turn it as an oval lens doesn't turn as a circular one would...
Any ideas?

The older Lumotec Ovals had a fixed lever where the seal is to release the lens & reflector for bulb changing.
I'd try poking something in the rectangular hole under the seal and trying to move the hole to the "AUF" end of the slot.

There's a pic of one subjected to rapid unscheduled disassembly at
https://overthebarsinmilwaukee.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/dlumotec-oval-plus-dismantled-dsc_0002.jpg
, but from the details and image it looks like they seal around the lens edge, so you're into carefully slicing it open...

Ah
- from

is the small cover for clampling internally into the heatsink frame, and after removal you're merely left with (lightly?) glued seal around the edge to pry apart...? Phone spludgers are your friend if so.
