It's supposed to be about 25 times on a pair of AAA, but I've never seen whether that's alkaline, NiMH or what.

It will also depend on whether you stop it at a couple of minutes and put a couple of puffs in to firm it up, or forget and leave it running for 5 minutes and still have to put a puff in (depending how firm you like the mat).

Rumour would have it that it's also quite good for getting a wood burning camp stove going.

This would seem to be the main advantage over a Schnozzel.

Just ordered an Helinox Ground chair and I'm now mightily looking forward to it arriving.  I've got two Thermarest chairs and have always found them very comfortable but for next year I'm planing a two week trip with both kids so three chairs are now required.

Any idea how many times will it inflate the mat on a pair of batteries?
Using Duracell to fully inflate an oversized Neo Air Trekker (the widest one) I have used a pair of Duracells for about 15 nights with no sign of efficiency dropping off.  I am confident enough to take the same batteries on tour next year.

I use a bin bag and as an added bonus this means I have a bin bag to put things in.

I bought this a couple of months ago.

Yes..it's a Motorhome but there's my Brompton so it's OK, it sort of makes it "Cycle Camping".

Not ok, not really.

A Brommie's not appropriate, you need something more stable to tow such a large trailer.

Well what is it? You can't leave it like that!

;D A Zephyros 2, used a few time but in great condition. £80
It'll be the tent I use when Dawn isn't there.

No, since I sold you that one we have gained another 4 and given away 1
All ok though as the one I gave away was a 12 birth. We have acquired a 2, 3, 4, and this 2 birth.
I make that we are still 1 birth in credit
 ;D ;D ;D

MSR Stake Hammer - cooler than a cool thing.  Can't see me using it.  Will probably just fondle it!

That motorhome looks like a Hymer from this angle - very nice!

The Stake Hammer looks great for car camping- it's about time somebody came up with a tool that would help you pitch your tent, then enjoy a beer!

I just ordered a Solo Stove Lite along with a pot and a windscreen. This forum has gotten me curious about wood burning stoves, so I decided to give this a shot. It looks like my Trangia will fit into it quite nicely too, so I'll test it out with wood and as an alcohol stove.

Apparently I bought a (Chinese knock off) gas adapter that'll, possibly, fit in my Trangia. I know I bought it, around 4-45am, as I got a confirmation E-mail this afternoon!

We went to the tip to get rid of a load of rubbish, and Butterfly obtained a nearly-new 2 person tent! :o

It was free, but we realise we don't have the space, really.  But, for now, we are the owners of a Eurohike Ryde.
Getting there...

I've decided to try cooking with gas. So bought a Vango mini folding stove on the grounds it should fit inside my Trangia Mini pan set.

A bit more camping gear today!

Snugpak Chrysalis 3 sleeping bag, and a Thermarest Neoair Venture mat!

Pretty much set now!

Brian, how are you getting on with your Snugpak Chrysalis 3 sleeping bag?  I'm thinking of getting one but I am 6' 2" and some of the reviews I have read say its a bit short.

Ordered last Friday and arrived today- an MSR Hubba NX one person ultralight tent with footprint. Initial impressions: sets up very easily, and seems fairly sturdy for an ultralight. It seems a little sturdier than the Big Agnes Copper Spur that I looked at. It doesn't have the bomb-proof, fortress like feel of my Hilleberg Soulo, but it doesn't have the eye-watering price tag of the Soulo, either. It also weighs just over half what the Soulo weighs, and packs down to about half the size. I'll do a more complete review after I've spent a few nights in it.

I think that's the current version of my Hubba HP https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=48829.0 , a good little tent.
