Soupy is home!

Maybe back to Broomfield for physio on Monday, can't do stairs, so currently on the sofa watching telly, what's new ::-)!

Great news!

A change of plan means I'm probably able to ride the 100k Rich Ellis event. I will drive over to Dunmow so will have room for another bike on the car if anyone would like a lift. I will confirm early next week.

I've entered the 100k.

Right Gentlemen of ACME....who is up for a round of Golf before the clock go backwards? Anyone have a membership that can get us decent green fees (Ted  ;D)? Short of that I would suggest Forrester Park as it allows non golfing types who might want to give it a bash on the course with not issues.

Golf on a bike?  We'll need to have a buoyancy aid on standby near the water hazards for Ted!

You spend too much time with OD

I am very much up for a round of golf.  Unfortunately I am currently without a club having barely played this year.

As I am off to play Loch Lomond in a couple of weeks I could certainly do with the practise.

Forrester Park is a good option. Rivenhall is another and has what they refer to as "an executive par 3" which is a bit more hacker friendly if we have any such along.

Bobb may have some suggestions as well.

What happens if you don't own a set of golf bats?

Forrester Park sounds good to me. Never played there, so I'm getting my excuses in early  :P

Can play whenever suits...

It's going to have to be a weekend for me. I could potentially do this weekend if it all works out but otherwise it might have to wait until after the Cambridge rides on which I am helping. I think cycling on Saturday and Golfing on Sunday might just push things a little too far!

I'm happy to book it up if we can agree a day and time. I was a member at Forresters so I can guide you on the course Bobb but I suspect I will spend a lot of time behind trees and on incorrect fairways ;D

Ok, I could do this weekend - I need to squeeze in one last 200 for my 40@40, but I can do that any day. Weekend after is the RE mem. 200 on the Sat, but could do the Sunday. Got nothing on the weekend after...

I can of course do weekdays should you ever feel like bunking off  :P

With my luck....bunking off would involve somehow being hit by a golf ball (likely my own) and having to attempt to then explain that!

I better check the home situation and then get back. This Weekend has some potential.

Sunday around 11ish? I know they have comps kicking off during the morning so might need to find a slot.

Any other takers?

Ted, Tippers and Bobb so far.

Oui! I shall check with Frau Tippers tonight and I will book a tee slot based on the general feel of that conversation. There may or may not be a small amount of miss selling involved in the importance of this round of golf!

Plus Fours teamed with stripy socks with toes!  Can you get golfing sandals?

SPD Sandals with just  a pedal clipped to the bottom should give plenty of grip on grass!
