Maybe  ::-) I'll see when the dates are released.

I'm definitely up for an ACME does the Bryan Chapman if anyone else is ?

As per the FB page ...

Provisional dates for the events:
Hard Boiled 300km – 13th of April 2024
Dorset Coast 200km – 14th of April 2024
Porkers 400km – 5th / 6th of May 2024
Brimstone 600km – 25th / 26th of May 2024

I'm thinking about Bryan Chapman.

I'm definitely semi retiring next year....   : ::-)   ooohhh Wessex Series
I'm so easily led.

Will currently has the Bryan Chapman on his pedualtion website as the 18-19th of May although this isn't on the AUK website or bookable at the moment.
But it does clash with Hereward the Wake !! and is between the Wessex series 400 and 600, so not sure I'll able to do it all.

Hereward will now move to Friday 14th June - not ideal, as it'll be sandwiched between the Asparagus & Strawberries and Fenland Friends, but hey ho, we'll cope. That clears the way for 'ACME does the BCM' in May ... very tempted.

Re: the next Tourdax - as the summer months are getting very full, what with one thing and another, how does a spring Tourdax series appeal, maybe mid-April? Otherwise October perhaps? I have an East Anglian route sketched out, with end-of-each-day controls at Ely and Woodbridge.

Great stuff. Be good to have a few of us doing the rides.

For anybody interested in completing the Wessex series but unable to make all the dates, you can substitute perms for each calendar event.

Wessex series is a no from me.  Probably won’t make BCM either, although it is a ride I have never done.

Quite tempted by the new 1000 up North.  Could double up with the ACME Grand.  Lots to think about but there’s some planning to do.  We don’t have a 2024 wallchart in the kitchen yet.

This has piqued my interest as haven't ridden the BCM yet. Will keep an eye on Will's website.

Is that the Borders and Flatlands 1000km? If so, does the course overlap much with the ACME Grand?

Borders and Flatlands is the end of August with the ACME Grand late September. So plenty of recovery time if you wanted to do both.

I suppose the new date for Hereward means there’s a little bit more daylight :-) i like the idea of BCM too - maybe if my riding goes well between now and next spring…

Spring or autumn Tourdax works for me

OK bookings are open and I've booked. (Its my birthday today so booking this while the family have to be nice to me  ;))
I've put a moving speed of 20-22km/h which may well be wishful thinking and for group with I've put ACME ;D

Suppose I better start some AAA training!

A Suffolk Spring Tourdax looks interesting (particularly if I ever move house...)

In other news, I have not entered the BCM but I have entered the Suffolk Byways 50k on Saturday - sorry, no event trackers on this one.

Get it booked. You know you want to O:-)

Amy has also signed up so I believe we are now up to 7 ACME riders entered.   ;)

At this rate we'll have more on the BCM than on PBP.

Which reminds me, did I mention my ride in France  ;D ;D ;D

As I've been planning out my cycling goals for next season, I've got a Dutch sized hole in September. I'll check the Audax calendar to avoid any local Essex event clashes before setting the date. Will aim to confirm the dates before the end of November, just in case there are discounted ferry tickets available.

So, be prepared. ACME Goes Dutch will be back in September 2024.

Microbreweries may feature!

I am up for another Dutch trip  :).

ACME event dates in the AUK calendar for that time of year....
August 17th - Hopstock
September 14th - Essex R&R (route check weekend of 31st August)
September 21st - ACME Grand

So there is Dutch sized hole in first to second week of September

Thanks both. That feels like it's directing the Dutch trip to be:

Out: Sailing on Wed 4th Sept at 23:00
Back: Sailing on Sun 8th Sept at 22:30

Will suggest train assist if anybody isn't available for the full excursion and wants to join midway.

Registered for tomorrow's REM 200 but now can't get home late so contemplating down-sizing to the 100.

Anyone else riding REM?

Make that 8 - I succumbed to some gentle persuasion from Grey Sheep and howdee at REM yesterday, and have also booked onto BCM  :o
